"I had another go last night of your amazing tool. I was astonished at how quickly I crowned and levelled the frets on my Bouzouki. Last job I did took ages with the other gear I have. It was a pleasure to use and turned a previous tedious job into a total pleasure!”. W. Y., North Berwick, Scotland.

Easy, Quick & No File Marks!

Our fret crowning system uses emery abrasive, providing a replaceable abrasive alternative to a traditional fret crowning file. The bottom of the crowning tool has a concave abrasive pressure surface that matches the fret profile, ensuring the bi-folded abrasive is directed away from the top of the fret.

“I wanted to thank you and give you some feedback on your tools. I think they are outstanding!. Your fret crowning tool has become my absolute favourite. I have tried MANY files and methods including diamond files etc. This system is fantastic!. Easy, quick & no file marks!. Thanks again”. J. R., Ontario, Canada.

METHOD

To ensure optimal results, trim the abrasive along the bottom of the tool using shears. Use the small spreader to press the abrasive against the tool on both sides of the central gap.

ABRASIVE

Cloth backed industrial emery abrasive.

Includes 3 abrasive grades, medium, coarse & extra coarse:

250mm long x 25mm wide - 4 strips of each (12 Total).

As the abrasive wears down, fresh emery can be fed through the tool. Generally, each new portion of abrasive is sufficient to dress one fret, and 1-2 strips of abrasive are needed to crown a full guitar. As the emery becomes smoother, it adopts its finishing properties for metalworking, allowing the fret to be polished with the same abrasive.
