Guitar Neck Fret Press

PRESS CONSTRUCTION
The frame is made from oak, with top and bottom sections braced by rigid aluminium supports.
The space saving, marine ply base, is fitted with adjustable feet for stability on the workbench.
NECK CAUL GUIDE RUNNER
The sliding caul runner is machined for smooth movement of the neck caul between frets and to ensure perpendicularity of the neck to the press caul.
The long runner length ensures that the caul remains balanced and the neck stable, with the neck fully extended.
The neck can be fed through the press from either side.

FULL NECK SUPPORT CAUL
The soft felt cushions the neck whilst the dense oak maintains rigidity under heavy clamp pressure.
The felt extends to the edge of the caul to eliminate pinching and the rounded internal shoulders ensure protection and stability for different neck profiles.
The stepped section of the caul maintains support during fret pressing over the transition and heel.
Two thin rubber strips are provided for packing under thinner neck heels.
NECK CAUL OPTIONS
Regular Profile For 6-String Neck
Wider Profile For 7-String Neck

ACCOMMODATING HEADSTOCKS & NECK TAPERS
As the guitar neck naturally tapers toward the nut, the neck caul is also subtly tapered in height to keep the fretboard within a perfectly horizontal plane.
Designed with clearance for angled headstocks, the system permits spot repairs without requiring the removal of machine heads or tuners beforehand.
CAULS & OPTIONS
The press includes a full set of cauls.
Standard simple radiused stainless steel cauls or brass grooved cauls can be provided.
